OUCO Delivers Two 15T22M Stiff Boom Offshore Cranes to Malaysia!

OUCO Heavy Industry has successfully completed the manufacturing, testing, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of two 15T22M stiff boom offshore cranes for a Malaysian offshore service provider. The cranes will be installed on an FSO vessel operating in Southeast Asian oil and gas fields.
Designed for demanding offshore conditions, the cranes can operate in sea conditions with wave heights of up to 3 meters. They will mainly be used for cargo transfer between Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs) and the FSO, as well as personnel lifting. Both cranes meet ABS certification requirements and API Spec 2C standards, with explosion-proof electrical systems designed for hazardous oil and gas environments.
To meet the customer's requirements for both heavy lifting and personnel handling, OUCO developed a dual-hook configuration:
Main Hook: 15T SWL at a 22m working radius, with 1T personnel lifting capacity
Auxiliary Hook: 3.5T SWL at a 23m working radius, with 1T personnel lifting capacity
This configuration allows operators to switch between heavy cargo handling and lighter lifting tasks without repositioning the crane.
During the FAT, the Malaysian customer and ABS surveyors carried out a comprehensive inspection covering the crane structure, welding, hydraulic system, slewing components, wire ropes, and explosion-proof electrical controls.
The cranes also underwent static and dynamic load tests to verify structural strength, hydraulic performance, braking, operational stability, and safety functions. All test results met the project requirements, and the two cranes successfully passed the FAT and received the required ABS certification.
Following final document and component verification, both parties signed the FAT acceptance protocol, clearing the cranes for shipment and offshore installation.
